Recipe: Golden Chai by Mira Manek
(makes 2 cups in the Loka Chai Maker)
Ingredients
- 14oz / 400ml milk (dairy or oat)
- 7oz / 200ml water
- 1 tsp ground tumeric
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger or fresh grated
- 1 tsp ground cinammon
- A pinch of ground black pepper
- 1 tsp jaggery or sugar of choice (optional)
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- A pinch of saffron (optional)
Method
- Assemble your Loka Chai Maker
- Add milk, water, and spices into the strainer
- Brew on medium heat until your chai maker fountains (6-8 mins)
- Let it fountain for another 3-5 mins for a smooth, creamy texture
- Pour, find a quiet spot and complete your evening ritual
