Chai isn’t just a drink. It’s a craft, a ritual, a moment of pause that’s been passed down through generations. When we set out to design the Loka Chai Maker, our goal wasn’t to modernise chai for the sake of it - it was to honour it, thoughtfully and respectfully.
That’s why we partnered with Pentagram, the world-renowned design studio, to reimagine how chai could be made at home. Together, we focused on the details that matter: balance, proportion, materiality, and the quiet confidence of an object that feels right the moment you pick it up.

Every curve, surface, and mechanism of the Loka Chai Maker has been refined for beauty, simplicity, and authenticity. Because when something looks and feels this good to use, it doesn’t get tucked away in a cupboard, it becomes part of your everyday rhythm.
Recognised on the global design stage
In 2025, that intention was recognised with three major international design awards - a moment we’re incredibly proud of. The Loka Chai Maker was celebrated for its thoughtful engineering, sustainability, and cultural relevance by:
These awards aren’t just about how something looks. They recognise products that solve real problems, respect materials, and carry meaning — values that sit at the heart of Loka.
