Common questions, answered

The capacity is 10—20 fl oz (300—600 ml), which brews a single serve or up to 3 medium sized cups of chai.

Our Chai Maker works on all stove types (induction, gas, electric).

Our Loka Masala Chai Blend is optimised for our Chai Maker—It’s a fresh, balanced blend made with ethically sourced, high-quality spices. It’s specially calibrated for the Loka Chai Maker to deliver full-bodied flavour and a consistently perfect cup. Other blends (including your own) also work beautifully. Even tea bags and powdered spices can be used.

One bag typically makes 30 cups, depending on how strong you like your chai.

We recommend dairy or oat milk (½ to ⅔ milk depending on how creamy you like your chai). We'd advise against using soy milk.

More than ¾ milk—specialty high protein milk—should be brewed at lower heat to avoid risk of scorching the milk.

After Anish’s cancer recovery sparked countless chai-fuelled walks, we set out to make brewing easier.

Teaming up with engineer Andy and Jon’s world-class design team at Pentagram, we spent three years—and a thousand cups of chai—perfecting the Loka Chai Maker.
