How many cups does it make?
The capacity is 10-20oz, which brews a single serve or up to 3 medium sized cups of chai.
What stove can I use?
Our Chai Maker works on all stove types (induction, gas, electric).
Which chai blends can I use?
Our Loka blend is optimised for the chai maker. Other blends (including your own) also work beautifully. Even tea bags and powdered spices can be used.
What milk do you recommend?
We recommend dairy or oat milk (½ to ⅔ milk depending on how creamy you like your chai).
More than ¾ milk or specialty high protein milk should be brewed at lower heat to avoid risk of scorching the milk.

When you buy the Loka Chai Maker, your first month of our Masala Chai Blend is included (complimentary) when you join the monthly chai subscription.
No - you can cancel anytime. You’ll receive your first month of chai on us and only be charged from month two onward if you continue.
You’ll be billed each month on the same date you placed your original order. For example, if you subscribe on January 21, your next charge will be on February 21.
Your first chai blend ships with your Chai Maker as part of your initial order. Once your order is placed, it follows our standard shipping timelines - just like all Loka orders.

I really enjoy drinking masala chai but rarely have the time to stand and watch it when made using the traditional method. The Loka Chai Maker takes the jeopardy out of chai making - you can literally walk away and let it do its thing without it boiling over. It’s got me drinking traditionally-made chai more often (from once every few months to 3-4 times a week) and reducing my intake of ‘just add water’ premixes. However, there is still room for improvement, which I’m sure will come in time with tweaks to the current design.
What I love about the Loka Chai Maker:
- Enables me to put the chai on the hob and walk away while it does its thing.
- Sleek, elegant design.
- Easy to pour without having to fiddle around with a separate tea strainer - I’ve had zero spillage so far.
- Definitely forms part of the ritual of tea making without the mess.
- I think the chai tastes better because it can stay at a rolling boil instead of having to simmer it which can sometimes make the tea taste stewed and bitter in a saucepan.
Room for improvement:
- Despite the claims, it’s still not the easiest to clean. Yes, the ceramic coated pot is easier to clean than a saucepan, but there are still four parts in total which need cleaning (I find I have to remove the rubber seal every time as chai gets stuck underneath). While the ceramic coated parts clean well with a sponge, any steel parts really need hard scrubbing including the lip of the chai maker which is awkward to get to. The steel…

This is the first and only chai maker in market that make Chai (Tea) so enjoyable without making a mess if the chai boils over the pan lid.
While boiling it creates a fountain effect. And there is no strainer needed.
Cleaning is a breeze since it is non stick with stainless steel strong strainer built in

Try as I might I make a mess whenever I make chai. I love chai but due to the mess and hassle I don’t make it as often as I want it. I live in a rural area and there is no place to get a decent chai. This little chai fountain is wonderful, easy to use and beautiful. My daughter often makes chai for herself as well.
